Before WHTS changed....

Before WHTS changed ownership and was bought by EMF, was there already a station in the area that covered the area with a contemporary Christian music format or will this be the first station?

Two already exist.

88.1 WAXR (3kW class A) - http://www.wdlm.fm/

I would say that K-Love is the first to provide a Christian AC format. WAXR seems to lean more to Christian CHR and WDLM has a lot of religious talk programs.

I personally like the K-Love format much better than the other 2 stations.

By the way... I think 93.5 used to be Christian AC with the same KQCS call letters.

Thanks,
Chris Cervantez

I checked the 2 station hot links that Tim Messer included and except for WAXR's morning show it appears that all three stations merely pick up a satellite feed and rebroadcast it. American Family Radio, Moody and K-Love are all basically satellite-fed formats.
