I have been reading this thread and have been hesitant to respond. I’ve always been private about my personal info since I had a couple of bad experiences with groupies back in the 80’s. But that was almost 40 years ago so here goes…
I always loved radio as an early teen. There was just something about it that was magical. We are talking about KJR and KING, and I worked at one of them on air at age 20. I wasn’t very good but the PD sensed there was potential. Went on to other big stations in Seattle and then became a PD for many years. Now retired and look back on my radio career as not only successful but something I really enjoyed. If you can accomplish these two items in any job you have hit the jackpot.
