Ben and Skin to 97.9 the Beat per Twitter

How does that work? What shift? When?

Inquiring minds and all...

Its not far fetched, considering they are hip hop musicians and Skin's local music/production cred.

I wouldn't understand how that would be beneficial for either B&S or The Beat.

Last time I checked, a gig is a gig.
and having a gig is better than not having a gig...
especially if it is a paying gig!

Ben and Jeff are pretty creative guys AND
they CAN read liner cards if they have to.

If Skin was not a world class DJ/Producer in the hip hop world, then yes it would be suspect.

I am aware of thier music experiences, but that doesn't mean they would fit The Beat. Thier style doesn't fit The Beat's current audience. B&S primary focus is sports talk, I think it would be a lose-lose.

Ben just tweeted that they are going back to 105.3 The Fan.

KTCK jack of all trades Kevin Turner announced on facebook that he will be thebproducer. While I'm sad to see him leave the Ticket I'm glad he got an opporunity like this. i know one of the on-air personalities and they have told me on several occassions that he is one of the 2-3 hardest workers at thebTicket.

So will Gavin Dawson and Chris Arnold go 6p-12 now or will The Fan go to the network from 6p-7p.

How are Ben and Skin different now than when they were let go from the Fan last time? They have to be hoping to pass gac for 2nd place in the time slot. They won't get close to THL.

Really? Wow. It's amazing how far they have taken advantage of being a bad weekend show on The Ticket. No ratings & fired twice = afternoon drive. Their ratings will be lower then RAGE.

I don't see their appeal. At least it will be the standard four hours instead of five hours like RAGE. Gavin Dawson and Chris Arnold are still five hours though, but in the strange 6-11 pm slot.

100% 2nd string, B team show. Nice job Spittle, take the fired filler from last go round, and now bring back as your marquee showpiece. Nice guys, wish them well, but they ain't got that "it" X factor. Gavin, i hope you hired them month to month, bc you're going to wish you had 6-9 months from now when your boss screams I HIRED YOU TO FIX THIS, not F IT UP WORSE.

Your probably going to lose your CBS job over this weak line up. Your only saving grace will be a stellar Cowboys crew, which is exactly the wave you rode in Houston w Texans, and previous Stern/Martin wave you rode in Dallas last time. The Ben and Skin wave will not get you to the shore.

I predict Gavin has B&S making fun of him, and taping him to his desk at the end of this fail. This is gonna be ugly.

I'm still trying to get over Salemjedi trying to convince us that Ben/Skin on the Beat could've made sense. "World Class"...don't think so. As long as they can beat Galloway and bring in the young demos, this thing is here to stay.

The same way that Bad Brad was doing well on K-104 in the mid to late 80's.
