Did anyone hear that cleaning guy on the overnight at ben over the last few days I heard it once I think it was ealy Friday morning and then Suday??

Is ben about to launch DJ ??

I didn't hear that guy, but I heard a guy during the afternoon a few weeks ago.

Eventually most Variety Hits stations will add jocks, if they want to do well in the long term. It has been almost a year and I guess it would be ok to start sprinking in a few jocks, but I think they should wait.

I am a big fan of stations having "personality" and without really good, almost impossibly strong imaging, the only way to do it is with a good airstaff. But I don't know if I actually believe the above assertion is true. Seems like what makes these stations work is the music-music-music thing. I just don't see yapping jocks as a way to bolster faltering numbers. I also can't wrap my brain around the idea that management would make these stations more expensive to operate rather than simply pulling the plug.
 
That would be a fantastic move, at least we could get him off those horrible, cheezy, Cherry Hill Tri-Plex commercials with his boy, Skinny Ron.

I happened to be listening this morning, and I heard a song ID and was like .. WTF ?

The guy said something along the lines of 'Yes, I'm a live DJ - I think it's about time you deserve to have a LIVE person on the air' ... I then caught his name -- Matthew Reid (sp?) ...

In any event, it was kind of interesting to hear a LIVE JOCK on Ben ... didn't really bother me that much either way ...
