BEN-FM: Let the Speculation Begin!

True. But country? Rock? They own WXTU, WMMR & WMGK, so, no. AC has no room at the moment. CHR is already split.

Right now, there’s not a heck of a lot of space to carve out.

April fools day indeed. They're gonna play some weird format just to trick us. Probably polka, cause why the hell not

The Smurfs into Charlie’s Angels. It’s more cheese than Wisconsin’s state fair.

I give them credit for being committed to the bit. IMHO, one of the best Philly radio April Fools gags. And it lets them weave in songs that still fit their actual format that happened to be TV themes.

Are we expecting them to just go back to their regular format? I mean, this is the kind of stunt that pisses off and washes away your current listeners. Sure it's April Fools Day but this isn't a very endearing thing to do on any day!

I don’t know....I’m finding it hilarious and endearing. But I’m a geek. ;)

Oh me too! I've been listening for only a few minutes and I've heard "Friends" and right now "The Golden Girls." I'd listen to this for as long as they want to do it. haha.

I’ve been singing along to more than I’d care to admit.

The only reason I haven't is that I'm at my desk! I was a TV geek long before I was a radio geek. I used to run to the mailbox every Thursday because that was the day we got the next week's issue of TV Guide. I'd read it from table of contents to crossword puzzle. I was devastated when they changed format to the tabloid they basically are nowadays.

I have all these songs on my hard drive, been collecting them since I was like 12 years old. I could shuffle up a "station" like this pretty much any time I want. But hearing it on the radio is pretty fun.
