Ben & Skin...all sports?

I don't like basketball and I like B & S even less. But I do enjoy listening to them talk about the Mavs and the NBA.

No, Ben and Skin are very knowledgeable about sports - especially basketball. But they are also really well versed in music, movies and pop culture. They are very talented. They would be perfect hosts on the Ticket. But the host positions at the Ticket are locked down and there's no signs of that changing given their ratings. I'm skeptical about whether they can succeed on 105.3, but I hope they do. Or at least I hope they do well enough to parlay it into a position at the Ticket down the road (i.e. when Norm finally retires).
 
This is a sign of how troubled 105.3 really are. They couldn't spend money on a quality show since it doesn't look like the station has much of a future.
 
Ya know what: Im sick and tired of all the crybabies and whiners bagging on these guys. They have a radio show, you dont. Either congradulate these two for their new position or shut your cryhole, take your toys and go play at P&Ks house, they can use the company since all the sycophants have dumped them.
 
This isn't about P&k. If they come back to radio in this market it probably won't be mid-days. This is about the big stinking mid-day hole at KLLI. If B&S were going to do sports there then my mid-day would still be shot. But since they intend to do lifestyle I'm happy to give them a chance.
 
I think it was a pretty inspired pick.

I am not Spittle fan, but I will at least give him credit for making this move, regardless how it might work out. I can think of 100 different choices that would have been worse than this one. I think he stepped a bit outside and found someone who might actually be able to make a good show. Certainly better than giving Dan a regular show for instance, or hiring some FM re-treads or spares from another market.
