Ben & Skin returns to DFW Radio at KEGL 97.1 The Eagle.

last fall, Ben and Skin left KRLD 105.3 The Fan ending a run with the station that dates back to the beginning of the end of the station's run as a hot talk station as KLLI Live 105.3, at the time they said they were leaving for a great opportunity. turns out, they were waiting a 3 month no compete clause with Entercom to expire and then, today, said clause has ended and their future was revealed. and during this time, a rumor start floating around that they were going to join KEGL 97.1 The Eagle. and at 4 PM today, the rumors were true, The Ben and Skin show will join the 97.1 The Eagle lineup starting next Monday. they will air from 2-5 PM while the Russ Martin Show will become a 2 hour show since Russ no longers does a 4 hour show and since last May, Russ has been doing the show from 4-6 PM while the 3 PM and 6 PM was without Russ but with Dan O'Malley, Alfie Coy and Clo (and Jerry Caldwell, the show's producer until he was laid off last month in the 2020 IHeartMedia restructuring purge). the announcement came in the form of Ben and Skin hanging out in the opening minutes of the 4 PM hour with Russ and the "Treehouse" having a chat with Russ and they announced the change of lineup and when they start. this is the biggest change of the afternoon lineup at The Eagle since 2011 when Russ moved back to Afternoons after a year of being on Mornings after his return to 97.1 The Eagle a year earlier in 2010.
