Am I the only non-B&S fan here? They're barely passable as a fill-in on the Ticket as far as I'm concerned. I can't imagine how bad they'll be when they have to try to come up with material for a week's worth of shows.

You are not the only one. When they were in for a vacationing Hardline, it was very hard for them to pull off two hours of programming, less four that they were forced too. The Maverick post game shows were better as then did more and more. Granted, they were part-timers, but having your friends call in, discuss your hip hop aspirations, or talk how great "Bottle Rocket" was to make a segment seems more like public access radio to me. I also realized that on Saturdays, they were repeating the stories of the bizarre that I read off the web two to three weeks prior, then again, most DFW radio isn't that current.

More shocking than that was Gavin's reaction to BDH's announcement. He was shocked and said something like "Really I do run this radio station". His whole attitude was shock and surprise and I don't think he was faking.

His whole era has been a outright disaster, from the dumbing down of KRLD to the recent handling of the P&K/Russ Martin situations. Im hoping CBS downsizes him and tosses his ass to the curb.

For BDH, I congradulate him in his move with Rick Dees, I certainly hope his new show will be syndicated locally or streamed on the web.

That reminds me of another thing that has bugged me. What are Gavin's credentials for running a news station. Shouldn't you have some sort of journalism background? Is Gavin really the right guy to decide what is news and how it should be covered?

Im guessing he got those credentials where he got whatever damned degree that got him in this business: Off the back of a box of Post Toasties (or for your people born after 1980: Kelloggs Corn Flakes). Ive seen guys running internet stations out of their basement/garage with more common business sense than Spittle. Im also in agreement that people who run news stations should have experience themselves working a "beat" before taking a managment position. Those who know the business make sure the product and staff is top notch, those who dont run them into the ground.

Really...I thought Russ ran the station? At least that's how it comes across. Maybe if Gavin didn't spend as much time up Russ' butt he'd know what's going on with the rest of his station.
