Ben Sparks quit/fired from O&A?

An O&A blog is reporting a rumor that Ben Sparks, producer of the Opie and Anthony Show since its return in Oct 2004 has either quit or been fired. An incident a few weeks ago with Sparks alledgedly being attacked by a Stern fan is being blamed as the cause; the rumor suggests Sparks hit the Stern fan and not the other way around as O&A (and Jim Norton) said at the time.
 
Anthony has confirmed this on Wackbag (O&A semi-official fan board):

True, Ben is no longer with the show.
False, Ben was fired for the Howard fan incident.

Us being on in best of for Monday had nothing to do with anything show related. We played in a charity golf event for CBS.
These are the facts. Anything else is pure speculation.

This is all I'm saying to clear things up so don't ask me anything else.

They've released no info. Rumor is contract dispute. Pretty dumb on his part. As far as I know being the asst. producer for O and A back at 'NEW was the only highlight of his resume.
 
After working at 'NEW and before working w/ O&A on their XM show Ben Sparks was employed at Sirius, doing production. (In the early months of O&A being on XM, they discussed how he was still owed months of pay by Sirius).
