Bend Over Rover...It's OVER!

I stated it here a month ago. I told you O&A were on their way.. and that day has come. Rover has been outed in Chicago.

Anyone named Shane French should probably stay out of radio.

So Rover does a show Monday, then is given the boot in chicago but will still handle his other CBS stations? So what does he boradcast out of the CKG studios tomorrow even though they no longer want his show? What a mess Joel has gotten his company into.

Rover will broadcast out of CKG for the next week or two, after that, he's back to Cleveland. He'll continue on all of the other CBS stations for the time being, though it would be no surprise to see other CBS stations drop the show now that CKG has dropped the bomb.

New lineup during other dayparts too: first, the "Steve Dahl Wakeup Call" (best-of) from 5-6, O&A 6-9, Stan and Terry 9-1 (cutting the lunch break), Penn Jillette (live) 1-2, Dahl 2-7, Cramer 7-8, Leykis 8-11 and O'Reilly 11-1.

I reported this 4 weeks ago. Look at the posts.
WCK Blah Blah is spinning off course like a run-a-way train! Who wants to listen to Steve Dull 2 times a day. Once is too much. Then you have the yapping magpies, and Terry Armour who cannot pronounce the letter L. Rover is a freakin loser too. He still has to show up at CKG and do his show for 2 more weeks.

Tell me how much it would suck to have to show up to do a show that is not even heard in the market you are broadcastiing from, and to make it worse, when you are in the halls of CKG you hear your replacement on the speakers! What a LOSER!!

Best of luck to O&A. They are very talented guys, let's hope CBS doesn't "F" this one up!

Thank you SERIUS!!

The problem my friends is that Chicago doesn't have a sense of humor to appreciate a show like Rover's. You all were just too uptight to actually give the show a chance and shot it down even before the move was made. He did great is other markets and of course here in Cleveland. If anyone is a LOSER...it's the people of Chicago!

...keeping a program on the scedule for seven months most certainly is giving it a chance. French had only one thing in common with Howard Stern: they both killed their first Chicago affiliates (WCKG for French, WLUP-AM for Stern) deader than Stevie Wonder's eyesight. Opie&Anthony resurrecting anything has yet to be seen (I have my doubts), but right now anything but French (even delayed hours of Tom Leykis!) would be a step in the right direction in morning drive...

Are you kidding me? CBS gave Rover 2 books! 2!!

He had 8 months to boost the books and prove ratings and he did not even come close. He was a horrible morning guy and his antics and stunts were half-ass. His team of flunkies and drop-outs proved wrong. He may be what Ohio wants, but Chicago..no way.
