After 18th months, Bender will be returning to the radio on 06/22/20. Bender will announce the station on his Instagram page at noon today.

Bender is back doing mornings at iHeart radio on 957 The Jet with Jodi Brothers.
 
Great news! Jodi has done a superb job keeping "The Jet" going since Marty was let go. It sounds like Bender will be a great addition.

Just curious...if Bender was set aside from KISS (iHeart?) and picked up by 957 (iHeart) ... was the 18 months to sit out a no-compete? Doesn't make sense...unless it just took that long for them to make the decision??

Or maybe Bender didn't want to leave Seattle or maybe iHM realized they made a mistake.

They also have two stations in the Top 5. Not bad considering.

Not many CHR jocks are willing to move to a classic format. Rick Dees got that offer from KRTH, and he didn't take it.

Scott Shannon transitioned from CHR to Hot AC to Classic Hits.

Indeed, iHeart Media has made several mistakes, including dumping Bender for Carla Marie & Anthony. The ratings at Kiss are at an all-time low, and I suspect that iHeart might be waiting for Jubal to sit out a no-compete and sign him and his wife.
 
Bender kept his community presence with Seattle Children's Hospital active, radio gig or not. How could they not pick him for 95.7?

These days, things like that say a lot about someone. People want The Good Guy again.
