Bengals Radio Play By Play

I virtually always LISTEN to Bengals games rather than WATCH. I've been a big fan of Brad and Lap for years. But I'm REALLY tired of Lap praising Bob Bratkowski for his "brilliant" offensive play calling when something goes right but refusing to criticize him when Bob goes into moron mode like he did today, literally giving the game away in the last 2 minutes. Do Brad and Lap have a contract clause that forbids them from criticizing Bengals coaching ineptitude or is Lap married to Bob? And how 'bout all those penalties, routes not being run correctly or completely, passes being tossed to the hot dog vendor, etc. How about criticizing Marvin "Lap Dog" Lewis for running an undisciplined, lackadaisical team? Just looking for some honesty here.

I am convinced that all the Brown family wants to do is draw a revenue sharing check from the league and count the money from the tix sales and merchandise sales. I do not believe Mike Brown wants to win. If he did, he would not keep this bunch of stooges around the team. That being said, I am hearing more and more, the rights holders signing agreements to where the announcers will not criticize the teams they are broadcasting. As eager as Clear Channel is at whoring themselves out over the rights to a sports franchise, it would not surprise me in the least that they bent over and grabbed the ankles for the Browns just to keep the rights to the Bengals.

I never was a fan of the current crew.

With all their yelling and screaming during all these losing seasons, I've come to associate their voices with losing.

Brad is often way too loud and Lap's post game interviews are just depressing.

Exactly- The way these 2 clowns call a game makes me want to puke. It has to be ordered by the Bengals management to call games in the way that they do. From a professional broadcasting standpoint it is not listenable, along with be biased to the extreme. I hope they make a lots of cash to replace their self-respect....

It's a sad state of affairs when Ohio has the #1 ranked college team in the land in OSU and two losing NFL teams. The Clowns are hapless and the Bungles aren't much better. That awful play in the final 3 minutes of the Bungles game was idiotic to say the least. Anyone that doesn't criticize stupid stuff is insulting the intelligence of the listening audience.
