Bernie Mac R.I.P. :(

While flipping through channels this morning, I saw an item on FOX News Channel. Apparently, Bernie Mac passed away after a recent battle with pneumonia along with other ailments. He was only 50 years old.Born Bernard McCullough, he passed on Saturday morning in a Chicago hospital. CBS News just ran it as a special report at 9:31 AM eastern via WCBS-AM 880 of New York. :'(

Terribly young to go. We hardly ever hear about pneumonia like we hear about cancer, yet it can be a fatal illness, even for middle-aged people. R.I.P Mr. Mac.

Wow! This is a shock especially when I heard that Bernie was improving and he was out of the woods with his pneumonia until I heard the news that he had passed away.

He had a disease called sarchossis (sp?) and had had it since the early 1980's according to what Wikipedia says in his bio. Don't know whether or not that was the contributing factor in his death or not.

Another comedian now silenced and at only 50 at that. God bless his wife and daughter and granddaughter at this time. :'(

I was watching the Bud Biliken Parade on WGN when I first heard the news...Al Sharpton came on briefly and broke the news. Bernie was one of my favorite comedians, and he can pretty much steals the scene in every movie and television show he's on.

Rest in peace.

When I woke up yesterday I turned to CNN and I saw that he had passed away, I was really shocked to hear this, may his soul rest in peace and my thoughts and prayers go out to the family.

R.I.P. Bernie Mac

As I was posting an August 9 This Day in TV History thread on the Classic TV board, I was reminded that tomorrow will be a year since Bernie Mac's sudden passing. Can't believe it's been that long already!
