Bernie on Fox

Did a great job tonight. He was honest and angry and said somethings that needed to be said. Apparently is is not a big fan of Rev. Al's

I agree. What got me rolling on the floor was Bernard's characterization of Mr. Sharpton as a "sanctimonious skunk". That, and referring to him as a "terrorist" at least twice.

I have to admit that as much as Im so sick of the whole Imus situation and the people trying to justify what Imus got himself into by bringing up Sharpton, Rap etc etc and on and on, BERNIE WAS MAKING A LOT OF SENSE. Such a shame he had to go on FOX NEWS to do it, even making valid points, making them on Fox news somehow they seem less valid to me.

:D

I thought it was hysterical how he caught himself and just stopped short when he said he hoped Sharpton's hairdryer falls in the bathtub while he has it plugged in. Even Hannity & Colmes joked that Bernie has learned his lesson and his catching himself before he says something that will get him in more trouble. But seriously Hannity brought up a good point regarding freedom of speech and drawing boundries of what you can and can't say on the air as we go along. And Hannity is no fan of Imus who is defending him. He does not like Imus, and does not listen to him but still thinks CBS overreacted in this whole situation.
I will not even begin to describe how I feel about msnbc because that would mean that they even have a bit of significance in the broadcasting community, but Bernard on H & C was a very good segment.

Well, when you're on the wrong side of Mr. Sharpton, you must be a rabid right-winger.

Or a white interloper.

Or a diamond merchant.

Or accused of raping a girl who lied to cover up the fact she was hiding from her parents.

Picking up on a theme here?

McGuirk is correct about Sharpton, but he can't excuse the fact that he started the "ho" controversy with Imus. Let's face it McGuirk and Imus have made a living picking on people over the years (sometimes in jest, other times just being mean) and this time both men crossed the line when it came to the Rutgers Womens Basketball team. It's unlikely that McGuirk will get back into broadcasting because any station that would hire him would be in the crosshairs of Sharpton and Jackson. Since it's doubtful McGuirk was paid anywhere close to what Imus was making, I hope for his sake that he has stashed away a small fortune otherwise he will be back driving a cab in NYC.
