Bernie Ward's future at KGO, if not gulity!

IF a not guilty verdict comes down and he is acquitted of all charges,
maybe KGO can have a tribute for the retiring Bernie Ward!

Tey also had a KGOE, that would run the same progamming up in Eureka CA--didn't work out.

They? KGOE is not owned by KGO if that's what you're thinking. The owner liked KGO's programming and bought it. After a time they decided to go the satellite route instead.

It didn't have much range as I recall, I didn't know they just bought the programming. I can't believe Ward doesn't have a tougher legal team or stance- like a Tony Serra or Hallinan, etc. I've put up more of a fight for a parking ticket.

KGOE 1480 has an excellent skywave for a station running 1kw night. I remember when I worked at KWUN 1480 in Concord and shut it down at sunset, I'd go out to my car and hear Eureka's 1480 (then KRED) clearly, even better than KYOS in Merced, which was the closest 1480.

As for Bernie Ward, well, some people are practical and some people operate on their idea of the way they think things *should* be. I think Bernie is one of the latter. Principle doesn't go far in the legal system. Had I been caught up in a comparable situation (well, there's nothing comparable, really) I'd have copped the easiest plea and gotten on with my life. I think Bernie is going to learn a few nasty truths about the legal system.

David -

This doesn't warrant starting a separate thread so I'll ask you here. I see you posting in the "other place*" again. Why did you decide to resume posting there?
