Bernstein, YOU IDIOT!!!

I have had it with David Bernstein!
Is he out to DESTROY WPRO???
The Red Sox will no longer be on WPRO, fine, but Bernstien shoots
WPRO in the head by grabbing Hannity and putting Hannity on 7pm to 10pm.
Instead of Micheal Savage and The Savage Nation being on live until 9pm!
Savage will come on from 10pm till 1am! Is Bernstein CRAZY!!!!
Don`t be suprised to see Savage jump to another local talk station.
I`ve heard Savages people are OUTRAGED!
Hannity is on 96.9fm and other local stations.
What the Hell is Bernstein doing????
Oh yes ,thats right , Bernstein is tring to get Violet on WPRO.
He belongs in the rubber room with Brien!
Morescrapple, a poster on this board, made great sense when he
said," Bernstein has held the Big positions with little success."

Don't think it was me, but I do agree it's best to stay live whenever possible. Don't forget most decisions are made high up corporate ladder, your beef's with Cit. execs.

> I have had it with David Bernstein!

In terms of nationwide listenership, Hannity is #2 and Savage is tied for #3 I believe.
Yes, he could continue to run Savage live and then do Hannity tape-delayed
and instead he's doing both shows tape delayed, but if he runs Savage 7-10
then Hannity 10p-1a, then they're just copying WTKK with Hannity on during those hours... Instead they would offer Hannity early. (Not sure how well WTKK
reaches RI...)

Citadel Executives are IDIOTS. They Drop Stern and now THIS too. Those guys make some of the worst programming decisions that I have seen. Arn't these the same dudes that were getting out of the Radio Business? What the hell happened to that plan. It's the smartest thing they could have done. I sincerely hope that they follow through with that idea. They are useless. Putting Savage on delay???? Are they on Drugs? Thank God it's the year 2005. Now I can just listen to streaming instead.... which happens to be the way I will be tuning into Savage for now on. WPRO just lost me for three hours each day. Great idea you mutants. Two talk shows on tape Delay? Yeah.... That always works well when you are trying to involve callers into Live conversations. Monkeys could program WPRO better.

With Sean Hannity being aired on WPRO, WHJJ has one less option to change its programming. THey ran the show for about a year until October 2004, when they affiliated with Air America. Maybe WHJJ will pick up Mike Savage. And what about Bill O'Reilly - where and when will his show air?

The best thing they've done is made sure Dave Kane is on an hour where noone can hear him. That would truly bring the radio station down.

Makes perfect sense to me. Dump Bill O'Reilly from the 10pm-12am slot, who's radio show is nothing more than a two-hour advertisement for his TV show which ran at 8pm two hours ago. Put the fresh-to-WPRO #2 Hannity in the 7pm-10pm slot and move the #3 Michael Savage into the 10pm-1am slot to keep listeners tuned in who might have originally tuned out at 10pm when O'Reilly came on. Listeners get a new talk show to catch their ear and still retane the popular Michael Savage right after it.

As a Savage listener I don't hear as many calls from "so and so on WPRO in providence" as I used to when Savage first took over the 7pm-10pm slot from the waining Mike Gallagher, who if I remember right was tape-delayed as well. I don't know if anyones noticed but Savage is only live for two of his three hours (7pm-9pm) so going tape-delay for all three won't be that bad. WPRO already replays the thursday and friday night shows again in their entirety on saturday and sunday nights 7pm-10pm.

Moving the popular Michael Savage into 10pm-1am also makes sense advertising-wise because Savage's popularity will gain more ad revenue for WPRO than O'Reilly did. I also seem to recall that after Michael Savage became popular on WPRO they ran him after Red Sox games in place of O'reilly instead of pre-empting him entirely. Since that only lasted one sox season I can only guess Bill O'Reilly made a stink because his crappy show, which was outdated the minute it came on, wasn't getting any airtime over Savage.

I'm all for getting rid of Bill O'Reilly who I think is a total Bore. But don't move LIVE shows to a tape delay status. It's just DUMB.

nobody, NOBODY programs that way, NEVER push back a successful program to add a new one untested

Better 2 live hours than none.

Not a lot of ad $ coming in at night, goal is to boost overall ratings. Why mess w/ success?
