I'm surprised this hasn't happened sooner. Combine a show that gets big ratings with the cost savings from a syndicated show to a large station owner.

Syndication will homogenize the show. You either fish or cut bait. This is nothing more than a combination of a gigantic ego (the show host) and gigantic savings (the Cumulus Clueless). The losers are the few listeners to terrestrial radio that are left in Atlanta and all the Cumulus market which will be forced to carry this drivel. One day Bert will be blogging "member me?

I am surprised that the Bert Show is still even on the air. I agree with the other poster, keep this show just in Atlanta. The rest of the world doesn`t need to hear this garbage.....

Don't even keep the show in Atlanta. Move it to Valdosta and where it
can be #1. A kettle whistle is more entertaining.

Totally agree,,,,,such a tired format...Just waiting, but could care less, when Bert and Jeff are going to come out of the closet, their wives should too. ;D

......says thre man who thinks Scott Shannon is an original.

Tibbs, I understand that when the show goes into syndication, Randy & Spiff will be joining it. It will be the Bert, Randy & Spiff Show.

Is it going to be like a Regular Guys syndication deal where they go to Dallas and get dumped then pick up one station in south Georgia?

Most awkward moment in Radio for a long time was this morning on the Bert Show. I picked this up right as I got int the car but basically it was some girl who thought her dad's new wife's daughter looked a lot like herselfd. Her point was she thinks her dad was the actual father and not stepdad as she was led to believe.

Jenn could not figure out what she implying and then Jeff said to her "I undesrstand in your world that people do not have sex outside their marriage but it happens." Ouch. I would love to seen her reaction to Jeff's comments. I guess he meant in her radio world and not her real world. Haha

Missed that but, yeah, must've been icy as hell in that studio...even if Jeff didn't mean it like that. By the way, at what point do you think people will start realizing that all those Jerry Springer type calls on Bert's show are 100% fake?

According to AllAccess.com, the Bert Show starts Monday on new Cumulus CHR i106 in Nashville.

How will this affect Q100?

So, i100 in Pensacola FL will also be carrying the show. I mean, it does make sense. I like the Bert Show personally so its going to be a great morning radio drive when im in the car! Nice Job Cumulus.

So how are they qonna do the Jessica Shops seqment now?!? Not that i really care just wonderin ???

I've heard that Mojo in Detroit will often play a couple songs each hour in other markets while using the time to have local segments and discuss local issues. The other markets just hear music -- and In the rare cases when breaking or important news happens in Detroit they'll extend the music or cut to best-of.

I actually don't really have a problem with this aproach. Most segments on morning shows are not local, but to keep a bit of local flavor for Atlanta they could just play a song or two in other cities. maybe not ideal, but I suppose it works well enough.
