Best Antenna Rotors

I've seen plenty of online reviews for tuners and antennas, but very few for rotors. I've got a Winegard HD6055P outdoor antenna coming in the mail, and need a first time rotor ASAP, preferably with a wireless remote and durable in St. Louis area climate (several snows a year). Any ideas?

First, congratulations on buying an American made product. Made in Iowa I believe.

There seem to be two types of rotors, low end, and more expensive units aimed at the ham and commercial markets.

I have 2 Yaesu ham type rotors. They were expensive by my standards, but they work great. Because they are for primarily for hams, they don't include remote.

If you haven't been there already, I suggest you go to the Eham.net web site. In the community section, you will find the Reviews page. In Reviews you'll find Antennas Rotators & Accessories, where there are personal reviews of many available rotators. Many of the reviews are years old.

My guess is that a remote is important to you, so you will end up with a Channel Master or Hy-Gain product.
