Things have recently changed for the worse with WAY-FM in West TN. The translator in Dyersburg has been off for several months. I was told they were waiting for parts to fix a transmitter problem, but now I've found out that the translator in Union City has been sold to a local station to rebroadcast their AM station. With this happening, I won't be surprised if the Dyersburg translator is sold or stays off premanently. I'd prefer for it to stay off if they don't set it back on, since that would make the signal from Air 1 in Union City better there.
This is leaving it where I can only get WAY-FM's stations from Clarksville or New Johnsonville occasionally, and on trips to Nashville. It seems like they've decided to leave West TN, possibly because of competition from K-LOVE and Air 1. I hate to see this happen, but I'm not totally surprised by it.
