Best CD Ripper for Automation Audio

I'll be ripping a brand new library use in an automation system for a client station. While I would prefer something on the inexpensive side (i.e., free) I would like recommendations of a good CD ripper. I automation can play back mp2, mp3, mp4 (aac), ogg, wav and aif formats. For convenience I would probably go with 320k mp3 audio.

At one time I ended up uses Apple iTiunes since it read the Gracenote database but the tags got munged as the automation program (StationPlaylist) looks for a certain idv3 version of the tags.

I can accommodate either Windows or Mac OS programs so I am willing to try a program that works well on either platform. Thanks in advance.

I used BSI's Speedy and like the program, it does cost about $99. Speedy will write information collected from CDDB to RIFF and has the ability to assign a random file name.

Ditto on Exact Audio Copy, it's the best idea because of it's secure ripping mode, ensuring perfect dubs so you won't get on-air surprises later.
