Best companies to werk for in very down ecconomy

I'm now with one of the larger companies on a southern market, but my roots is NNE, so I always keep a eye in what’s happen here. With all the layoffs what are the best companies to work for? I'm with Cumulus and they are letting people go all over, so are COX, Citadel and others? But as far as I know companies like VOX are not, I believe that they are best positioned to capitalize in this environment and maybe even purchase more stations. They have always been run very well because they treat their people like family. I know that Ken Barlow really cares about his people, all of them not just sales. I think that the smaller markets and the smaller companies are the best place to be thought 2009. What companies do you think are best to be working for in this economy?

1. ANY locally owned station where the CEO owner cares about his station and listers and not just money... Aka the listeners are #1
2. I think others are any station that is not currently on the stock market and the Gm's of these stations actually listen to the radio station they run.

that all depends on the owner. if they are one of those maniac control freeks like the guy in concord your better off somewhere else, from what i hear.

Unless you can look your owner in the eye and discuss every AM, you are not safe...and even then...not really. I am sure the higher ups in the NE markets for every group are good people. I have read as much. Sadly, they are not even making the decisions. It is a bad day when you can't hatchet job a GM or Market manager when you're let go to blow off steam. It's not their fault and they are in the same boat.
