Best deal?

Howdy,

Bought the wife a Kia Soul w/ the 3 month trial about 3 months ago. While I really don't think the service is worth it, I'm considering keeping it on if I can get a REALLY good deal. She doesn't care. There's other thoughts here.

1st - I have an offer for "Sirius Select" for 6 months for 29.94. That seems to be really good. Opinions? How screwed will I be in six months?

2nd - I might be interested in being able to listen in MY car via the internet. (My evo plays internet audio comfortably.) What is Sirius's TOS w/ regard to internet listening on an account?

3rd - Anything else I should know? I hate having to deal with telephone customer service, but the online offers (Even though they recognize her) STINK!.

4th - I have an XM in my Smart. Not Activated. Works terribly and drops out all the time on the barker channel. I live in a VERY flat place next to the ocean with very few trees. Reception is very lousy. I'm assuming XM works as well as Sirius and my radio or antenna sux?

thanks for any insight...

Clouseau

I believe Sirius/XM streaming is $2.99 a month (last time I looked). That is on their web site.

Based on my experience with rental cars, some radios perform better than others. Fords seem to work weel while Chevy seems to be a little touchier.

I live in the Southwest so I can leave the antenna on my dash and get excellent performance on XM. New England is a lot touchier on XM. But that has to do a lot with satellite position.

That price is for adding streaming if you already have satellite service. Streaming by itself is much more expensive, about the same as satellite service. And beware of exceeding your data limit if using a cell phone unless you have unlimited data.
