Best Digital Converters?

OK. Now that the $40 discount cards are arriving in the mail, does anybody have any opinions as to which converters are the best. I would prefer ones that will pass analog

It won't pass analog, but the Zenith DTT900 has worked great for my parents. I like it so much that I'll probably be getting myself one over the summer. Be forwarned, though, that there have been problems reported with the audio. I have not observed these issues.

Otherwise, if you're patient (and the cards last long enough), the Echostar TR-40 is coming in June or July and will have analog passthrough. It's also going to be $39.95, so it'll be next to free. Little else is known about it.

Hope it helps you out.

Check out the Worldwide TV FM DX Association web site (www.wtfda.org). They have reviews on different converters, and the people on that site are on the leading edge of this stuff.

The REAL fun so far is trying to explain to a room full of mad senior citizens the difference between the ones that do pass analog and those that don't. When they can't get their TBN or Jewelry Network LPTV the fur will fly.

They just need a splitter, to go with the analog set they already have. I don't understand why the LPTV people are making such a fuss.
