Best DJS in East Tennessee past and present

Who are some of the best DJs: Roy Jaynes aka Brother John St John during his WOKI days, not sure of his wherabouts or status now, Jeri George, WQUT Johnson City, she is just flat out great, and Mike Beverly while at WOKI, I know he was at several other stations but he hit his high water mark at WOKI.

John Boy Isley, CP & Walker, Scott Majors, Kerry Lambert, Scott Paulsen. I always loved to listen to James Slick Maurice overnights. And the voices of guys like POA and Eddie Roy. Is there room on this board for everyone's favorites?

Claude The Cat could phone it in and still be compelling. And we're just getting started...

Eddie Beacon your Swingin Deacon, Johnny Pirkle, Dick Ellis and Eddie Cowell from Trii Cities...Luther Massingill From Chattanooga

There were a lot of good ones where you could hear their egos on the air.

The really great ones made the listeners believe it was all for them.

He Was a Full Time Plummer And a Part Time DJ...Dressed Up In Costumes To Do His Show...He Was Nutty In A Fun Way...Show Played Sum Good Rock & Roll

Karl Kilo
Paul Oscar Anderson
Bill Beason
Jack Diamond
and "Mark" who is currently pulling AM Drive with Frank and Kim on 102.1

Shotguns stevens and Clay Gish.. Almost all the old WOKI Jocks, and also not so much the jocks, but the station 95.3 TNZ that actually had me pulled away from my beloved WOKI for a few years. Was a rhythmic Dance CHR,,, no one here seems to remember this station. I dont live in the area now,,, what is now on 95.3?

95.3 is now all Jeebus, all the time. Back then it was Power 95.

Mornings: Power Man (?) and his girlfriend
Middays: Kim of Mark and Kim
Afternoons: Screamin' Jeff Freeman and Mike Keith

They knew they were running out of money and gonna get shut down, so it was nothing for them to drop the f-bomb.

I'm surprised no one has nominated these yet:

Your Dave Young, WNOX, WKGN, WIVK-FM
Dr. Dave Dunaway, WNOX, WMYU, 97.5 FM (Whatever call letters they were using then)
Phil Williams, WNOX, WIMZ, WOKI
Mike Beach (What Knoxville Stations did he NOT appear on)...LOL
Gary Beach WOKI
Colvin Idol, WNOX, WIMZ, WMYU, etc.
The Brothers, W-149, 15Q, WOKI
Bob the Bandit, WIMZ, WOKI

Scott Majors, Scott Paulsen.
These were two that I never cared for during their Knoxville runs. Scott Paulsen was much better suited for a Top 40 station instead of a station that was SUPPOSE TO BE ROCK. At least, WIMZ got back to their ROCK ROOTS after he left. As far as Scott Majors, I don't know why, but I just didn't care for his delivery and his style.
