Best DXing you have ever had??

In the 1960s when there really still were clear channel stations I picked up WABC, WCBS, & WBZ loud & clear in Portland, Oregon. A total cross country DX and it was during the summer in August.
I also logged WCBS in the southern California desert in the 80s after KRVN signed off.

Denver's KOA came in all the way to Detroit Lakes, Minnesota really well for about a month in 1988. That's 955 mi. I wish that would happen again.. such a treat.

For me, probably WLS on the North Shore of Oahu in February 1965 as a teenager on a car radio ('62 Bel-Air). "Honorable mention would be DZRH from Manilla at the same approximate time and location.

In North America...a year earlier....probably would have been WBZ one night on a GE clock radio in Flagstaff, Arizona.

In Europe....probably Russia on 1323 (? near 1320 anyway) in 1999 in Warwickshire, UK.

For me, there are several big outbreaks where i've picked up stations.

Vacationing in North Myrtle Beach several times, I have picked up a huge array of stations. In July of 07, I picked up Ch. 2 from Cedar Rapids, IA (CBS), KMTV from Omaha, KTVO from Kirksville, MO, and probably three or four Cubans on the low VHF band. I was lucky to be in NMB in July of 04 during the big DX outbreak, and I picked up KWRD from just outside of Dallas, KSNK in McCook, NE, and two Tulsa stations (95.5 and 96.5, which I've also gotten in Charleston).

One Sunday last summer I was at Folly Beach (just outside of Charleston), and I picked up KFDX from Wichita Falls, and KOET from Eufaula, OK.

In Seattle, WA, August, 1989:

FM: 92.1 CiTI-FM Winnipeg, MB

KMUS 101.9, Burns, WY (2000)

In Mount Vernon, WA 2002:

AM: KSTP 1500, St. Paul, MN
WOAI 1200, San Antonio, TX
WCCO 830, Minneapolis, MN

TV (Bellingham, WA 1986):

KGO-TV 7, San Fransisco

Wow, that's amazing! Was there any inteference by KIRO 7 when you picked up KGO in 1986?
