Best Flip Clock Radio

Hello, I just bid on a Zenith Circle of Sound flip clock radio from the 70s that was on eBay last week, and the auction just ended last night. I was SURE I had the bid. I put in an eSnipe bid of $180, but then it turned out the previous bidder had bid higher than me, and I was really upset. I just can't stand the sound and reception of today's modern clock radios. And I am also a collector of the old flip clocks. There's also a Panasonic RC-6551, which I've owned a few of, and they have very nice radios, but don't last all that long. So, can anyone here give me a suggestion on what would be a good clock radio? Do you know where I can find one?

I prefer those made by Philips for instance. They usually have a very good AM an FM tuner that is sensitive and selective. They are also easy to setup as well. Just my opinion..

Hmm...I don't think I've ever seen a Philips flip clock. Are you talking about modern ones? Because Philips generally isn't a very good brand.

I don't think that Philips has ever made a flip clock radio but I thought you might be looking for one with a very good tuner and Philips is one of the best on the market from my owwn experience. I had an older on with a CD player on top that used a short length of wire for a FM antenna. The reception was great. The unit had a mechanical tuner which was sensitive and selective. I have a Sony that I won and it is mediocre at best.
