Best Fried Chicken in Tampa Bay

I know it's off topic, but with nearly 20 years there in Tampa Bay..I was thinking back to some memorable meals with radio buddies..as lunch was always my favorite meal, and I would invaribaly eat somewhere with Tedd Webb, or Scott Robbins, or Brad James. For lunch Teddy and I (in the mid-70's)went to two places that I recalled had great food. One was the Lincoln Restaurant somewhere near Tampa Bay Center (It had JUST opened). It had some of the best Spanish food I have ever had..and the other was Cappy's Deli and Meats on Westshore near Gandy..AWESOME Cubans!

Brad James and I along with FLA's Al Gardner would frequent Kojacks on Gandy past Kennedy almost to Bayshore..and get the most amazing ribs..or we would get burgers at El Cap or Jimmy Macs..

Scott Robbins and I would frequent this little Italian place on 54th Ave and 9th street in St. Pete..don't recall the name of it but it was in the corner next to a Vietnamese barber that Scotty went to. He always wanted to look like Tampa Bay' Fay-vo-rite deejay..and the haircuts were 6 bucks

But there was a place for Fried Chicken on Himes...just a little north of Gandy that Al Gardner loved too..WHAT was the name of that little joint..Pauli Brothers or something..Hellp I am losing sleep over this..Is it still there?

Now back to your usual radio musings..
