I don't think there will be ANY simulcast because there is enough overlap in the FM signals that it would be a huge waste of resources.
I tend to agree that Rubber City will first attempt to tweak the AAA format to make it work, if the numbers don't improve...then they will seek other options.
What could happen, but I think unlikely, would be a "promotion" of WQMX from 94.9 to 107.3 then put the oldies music from 1590 on 94.9. Then 1590 could be all news, news/talk or follow Ray Horner with sports talk- Yahoo Sports or ESPN, if Bristol considers Akron far enough from WKNR.
This is an aggressive & somewhat risky move, because you're messing with your top biller here, but it could pay off if you've got the guts to try it.--- Again I don't expect it to happen.
