Best imaged station in Orlando?

My money is on Sunny 1059. Great liners.......
Back in the day I liked WMMO.
Any good jingle packages out there?

I'd vote sunny as well. One of the better stations in this market. I'd say a close second is z 88.3. A lot of other stations can learn a lot from them. They are always live and local. Plus they are just awesome as well. :)

I hate liners, especially the canned crap. Instead of selling your station to me tell me something interesting. After all I'm already listening! Make it count, otherwise it's just clutter.

Without a doubt, Sunny. Rick Stacy has taken a medicore sounding classic hits station and truly made it shine. I was skeptical two years ago when he fired the entire on air staff and brought in the likes of Domino. But it really works and it is truly one of the few sounding great stations out there. It sounds tight, and while I wouldnt mind them opening up the music library a bit more, it really is my go to station. Funny how Mix 105.1 just down the hall sounds so stale and sloppy, but Sunny just sounds better and better. Also, a question on their new-ish weekend jock, "The Beach Man", he sounds familiar, like I should know him from somewhere else, but I just cant put my finger on it

I agree with the board, we do have the best station in the market.....BTW, thanks and we continue to try to re-invent a format with songs that you've heard a million times. Time to get back to work!

The likes of Domino....LOL

WE WANT SONGS WE HAVEN'T HEARD A MILLION TIMES !!!

But research says you love these songs, you need to hear these songs! The research says you are wrong! ::) ;D

It's been shown over and over that a local, personality driven program can exist in any music format. Sunny and Z88 happen to have local and live content and interaction that gives listener's a connection and so if you occasionally hear a song you like you'll stay tuned. CC's trend to VT and syndicate will continue to isolate the audience and lose that connection.

Mike...I guess you're right. I don't know what I was thinking. Scrap the Whiskeytown and Old 97's. Let's hear some vapid Eagles song instead. Tom Waits? Wait I can listen to Billy Joel instead !

I just hope Sunny isn't hung up on research. Keep opening the library, one hit wonders, deeper cuts, refresh often.................please.

That just about says it all, doesn't it.

CBS seems to do better with personality on there stations from what i've heard.
CBS has a tendency to pick up veteran DJ's from other stations and give them shifts on their stations. For example, in Los Angeles, Bryan Simmons, longtime afternoon host of AC KOST, was fired one day after completing his shift. Two months later, CBS picked him up for fill-in duty on Smooth AC "94.7 the Wave". Then again, that station was headed by a former KOST program director, and they already had three KOST vets (Kim Amidon for Morning Drive, and Mike Sakellarides and Brie Tennis for weekends).

CBS does have some corporate-like tendencies. (They fired two DJs without a chance to say goodbye last week, and their AC's are slowly getting "fresher", with their CHR's getting AMPed up NOW.) However, CBS tends to be more local and their DJs tend to have more freedom with personality. They are really talented with their Oldies stations, with all of them feeling well produced.

I can tell you that the CBS station that I am honored to do imaging for really connects, and keeps it fresh. The gentleman that hired me in Phoenix is Jacksonville now, and bending the CC trend well with compelling imaging that doesn't insult he current listener. It's fun to work for stations like this, and Rick is another guy who can roll out some fine imaging for a station. You're right Domino..it is one of Orlando's best!
