Best Late Night TV Talk Show Host

My vote would have to go to Craig Ferguson, host of the Late Late Show on CBS.

He's nuts! ;D

Besides his weird sense of humor, Craig seems more at ease interviewing guests than some hosts who have been at it for years.

Please feel free to add your favorite host and why you voted for that person.

I usually watch Conan most nights on TBS. If you back a few years, I much preferred David Letterman over Jay Leno. I've also been to the Ed Sullivan Theater three times (1995, 1997 and 1999). I was supposed to see Late Night With Conan O'Brien in his 12:35 NBC days. I couldn't make that show and now regret it.

Craig is the best. He gives a solid stand-up every night and treats his guests like they're there for a good time not just to plug something.

I go back and forth between Jimmy Kimmel and Letterman (I enjoy the bizarro comedy writing, less corny than his NBC show). Conan has improved from The Tonight Show...he's great on TBS.

Was a big Letterman fan during his NBC Late Night days, but his CBS Late Show is awful to watch and makes for some cringeworthy television lately. He's turned into a grumpy old man that is more enthralled with spouting his wierd agenda than actually bringing the funny anymore. I think the thing that really turned me off from the show was the sex scandal; it just made him even more creepy.

Right now I really don't have a "Best Late Night TV Talk Show Host". Lately I have just been putting Adam Carolla's podcast on at night in the trainroom and running the old Lionel trains around in circles to keep myself entertained. lol ;D

My first choices are Stewart and Colbert -- if you're including them.

Otherwise the dial is set on CBS with Letterman and Ferguson.

I read that Letterman was grooming Craig to take over The Late Show when Letterman eventually retires which I think would be a smart move.

If you're including Steward & Colbert, I would give them my nod as "best." If you're talking traditional late night talk host - monologue - skit - interviews and performances - Conan gets my vote.

I DVR both Comedy Central and TBS. I always watch Stewart and Colbert the next day, but only get to Conan about 50% of the time. I never thought I'd say this, but there is just not enough time in the day to watch everything I like - these days...outside of summer rerun season, anyway.
