Best Looking female personality in Rochester

Ok, read enough of layoffs, poor performance, etc. Time to change the subject-- just like to see who guys think is the best looking personality on the different staions:

Channel 8-- hands down Katrina Irwin but the newbe Ali Touhey is a looker too

R News- Bonyen Lee and veteran Amy Young

Channel 10 -- Robin De Wind and newbe Thalia Hayden

Channel 13 - Rachel Barnhart

Are you crazy?! Robin Dewind should not be up there! Jennifer Johnson and Lila Carney are much better looking! Get Robin off the list! I am not liking Robin these days for the simple fact that she is Channel 10's sports director and I know someone who interned with her at Channel 8 and that person said Robin Dewind was very snobby and unpleasant to work with.

are you crazy ? Robin is around 44 and just as hot as any of the younger talent at 10. She also did a great job as medical reporter and has done a good job thrown in as sports director. Also a great dresser and has been a staple on Rochester news for the last 20 years or so.

She is not ugly, but she is NOT HOT!

I'll be sure to pass that along to them. ;)

Wasn't there a similar post a while ago and several people thought this topic was quite sexist? I don't mean to sound like a prude, but rather than looking at "eye candy" I would like to see someone report the news who can actually read a teleprompter without mispronouncing common names, or learn how to write a proper sentence.
Personally I could care less who looks "hot" on television. We've had our share of "hot" female reporters & anchors, many of them who have since moved on to other markets, or left broadcasting altogether because they lacked the skills needed to perform their job.
I have a feeling that the women reading this post would be offended by comments made here. Many of them want to be judged for their work and not their measurements.

I heartily agree with Voice of Reason. Let's stop treating our fine female journalists in this town as if they are Price is Right showgirls (the Plinko game is a favorite of mine). We are blessed to have some of the very best female television news gatherers right here in Rochester, lets appreciate them for their ability to turn a story and not turn heads. I will not stand for such sexist drivel on a community message board such as this.

I agree - shallow topic.

Unfortunately it's a topic that will never go away. Looks are a part of TV News for women, like it or not. I love that Candy Crowley and Norma Holland and Janet Lomax are still around and respected. They're attractive, but not bombshells and they are also very successful.

The day Rachel runs out of makeup, head for the hills....it won't be pretty.

Rochwatcher, you obviously have a problem with Rachel Barnhart, given your previous posts.

Actually if you would look at all my previous posts you would see that I have been very critical of 10 recently...far more than 8 or Rachel (13). Probably I am critical of all three stations pretty equally actually.

As far as Rachel is concerned, I used to work with her and her ego is enormous. Ask anyone who was worked with her or against her, the stories out there are legendary. Any abilities she has as a reporter are far outweighed by her less than sunny personality. Why do you think they were clapping at 8 when she announced she was leaving, and dreading the same moment at 13? There is a lot more that makes up a person than he broke/she broke this or that story. If that person is a cancer in the newsroom, who cares what stories are being broken. As far as the makeup comment, why start a thread about how good looking or not a person is without expecting some comments about the subject matter? I didnt' start the topic someone else did--and yes, she does wear a lot of makeup--as a lot of the women do.

I know the Rochester market very very well--and I would like to think I treat all stations the same....but I speak the truth when asked to give it.

I know people at 8 and 13 who speak very highly of her. I always consider the source. Seriously, though, I don't think this board should be for personal attacks.

Come on, people! Patrice Walsh is gorgeous. I met her once, and she's got a dynamic personality as well as knockout good looks.

Sorry, Mr. Jason, but Mrs. Walsh is frightning looking! She has craters all over her face! I am sure she does have a dynamic personality, as well as a great journalist, but she is definitely not eye candy!

Past: Cathy Orosz- easy choice Tracy Busch runner up
Present- Jane Flasch
Out of towner- Ginger Geoffrey WKBW bUFFALO

to the stuffy suits on here-- get a clue !!! This thread was started to be light hearted after all the negative stuff going on. Lighten up for Christ sakes. Anyone can read off a teleprompter, you dont have to be an Einstein. Plus anyone knows fresh faces and pretty females are all over CNN, Fox News, ect etc etc etc etc etc etc ect. Get out of your shell and stop being Mr Fancy Pants and vote !!!

and Mr Voice of reason-- no one said anything about "measurements" so I first suggest you learn how to read. And second the City Newspaper and Times Union run polls every year to have readers pick out the sexiest male and female news personalitys and from what I have heard from anchors at SEVERAL stations, it is quite an honor to see if they were named or not. So loosen up buddy

And you sir could be a bit more original rather than stealing someone else's idea for a topic. A similar post was on this board a while ago and a number of people thought it was in poor taste and sexist in nature. And since when has City Newspaper and the Times Union asked who the sexiest male and female news personalities are? Has anyone else seen this so-called survey? I know that City Newspaper does have its annual list of favorite radio and TV stations and personalities; but, to the best of my knowledge, they never entitled these people under the category as "sexy."
Instead of asking who the best looking person is, why not ask who does the best job of reporting news, or who is the best on-air personality and explain why you think so.
Don't you think that would result in a more adult conversation rather that dredging up this tired old topic?

Sorry, Mr. Newsfool, but I believe that your unkind words regarding the delightful Miss Walsh are outrageous. What grade are you in, anyway? I stand wholeheartedly by my original observation. Save your bullying for the playground.

Ok, Mr Voice of Reason- grace us with your comments on who is the best personality at each station.

You obviosly are a sheltered individual-- the Time Union, City and Insider all have run the poles. Jennifer Johnson won for female and Doug Emblidge won for male in one of the poles. DO NOT throw your weight around and make insuations you know nothing about. Oh, since you havent read it, it doesnt exist ? Right !!

what a narrow minded, self centered ego maniac you are ! Instead of bashing someone for something you havent seen is a joke. AS I SAID BEFORE< wilth all the negative stuff about layoffs, etc in the local news this was a light hearted topic. Grow up !! You arent the Voice of Reason , you are need to learn that the whole world doesnt revolve around you and your bitter insights
