Has anyone listened to mornings on KILT this week? Hudson and Harrigan are apparently on vacation which kinda surprised me with Rodeo being such a big deal. I would have thought they would be here for that. I tuned in and for awhile thought they were gone for good. Ed Chandler is doing the show with all of H&H sidekicks and it sounds pretty good. Their calling it the "Best Of Hudson & Harrigan" and playing some old bits now and then but it really kinda sounds like a new revamped show. Is something going on that we don't know about? Any thoughts?

Spring Break week. Lots of people on vacation, with or without kids.
While the Houston Rodeo is still a major event, it seems it no longer gets the lavish coverage on local radio/TV that it got 20 years ago. Demographic change, I suppose.

Not that there's any rodeo connection, but DEAN & ROG on KKRW, are also "The Best Of" this week.
So are Walton and Johnson. How come whenever a DJ or morning show is not heard people automatically assume something is up? I mean I know they run the "best of" sometimes after a morning show get's the boot, but usually they let them do their last gig on a Friday and bring them into the conference room for their firing, then on mon. they'll run music in the timeslot instead. DJ's take vacation period!

The Rodeo is officially an afterthought now. The Houston we grew up in is long gone. May as well just rename the place New Orleanxico City. ???
I was channel surfing this morning and noticed that Roula and Ryan were a "Best of" as well. That's weird, must be vacation time for the morning shows at the same time.
Doesn't the Arbitron Spring book start next week? That could be the reason. A lot of these cats will take off prior to the book and come back fresh and ready to go one the air. Or, it could simply be a coincidence.
