You can pick up the mics for about $125, polar pattern is closer to a super (but not hyper) cardioid than a regular cardioid, think... an Audix OM-3 with sound quality as good as an OM-7. It really sounds that great.
In fact for a dynamic mic usable also as a hand held, I might have to say this is in the top 3 on my list, cost not even considered. If you can toss $125 toward getting one to try out, it probably won't be the last one you buy. (and not cos they break either, plus it has a lifetime warranty)
