Don't know if the other Jacks have it, but the one in Jackson has one that says, "Our name's Jack, who the f*** are you?". There's also a liner that's unique for our area: "The world may call us Jackson, but here, we call it Jacktown."<P ID="signature">______________

"Bob got tired of hearing all the radio stations sound the same, so he bought his own station and now he can play whatever he wants. And Bob will play anything."

Not funny but probably the best description.

Radio now cares even less about you...in fact just go listen to your IPOD and XM because we play what we want

From KJKK/100.3 Dallas-Fort Worth:

"We're your #1 for today's hits, soft rock, hard rock, classic rock, alternative, 80's, 90's, and today, sunny, cloudy, rainy and reggaeton station. Good Luck. (plays reggaeton track). Oh, um...maybe not reggaeton. But you get the picture."

It goes something like that.<P ID="signature">______________

the request line : isn't that the place where disc jockeys meet their future ex-wives?....no thanks

how do we spell request? N-O

(some professional sounding guy with legal calls)
"yes, it sounds like he saved a bunch a money on car insurance"

a few more to get the ball rolling

There's one in which the voiceover guy says that four out of five doctors recommend Jack FM, then proceeds to "fight" with the fifth doctor and changes the statement to "five out of five doctors agree".

Also, do any of the other Jack stations have jingles that use the themes from "I Dream of Jeannie" and "Taxi"?<P ID="signature">______________

Just thought of another Jackism: "Where there's a will, we'd like to be in it". Come to think of it, I would too!<P ID="signature">______________

Fine, I'll put you down for my collection of "Jugs & Strokers" back issues.

"When it comes to women and music, Bob plays the field."

Reminds me of the Van Halen video for 'Right Now':

'Right now, radio doesn't care about you'
'Right now, radio is laughing all the way to the bank'
'Right now, a voice-over guy from another state took your job'

"He doesn't live in a pineapple under the sea, nor does he wear square pants, but Bob is a musical sponge."

JACK - Want to know how the traffic's doing? Why don't you give us a call, and tell us about it...

In Chicago, I've heard "Bohemian Rhapsody" and "Hit the Road Jack" jings, with Howard then saying things like "can't we do better than this?"

For the first weekend, we had the TM "You Campaign" jings used by a lot of the Jacks ("You are the reason/We do what we do/We play what we want/On Jack FM!"), but they soon went off--I can't get Nine, but I'm assuming that they had bought that package first.

seattle's jack still plays those jingles, only with the "we play what we want on jack fm"

And should an officially-licensed "Jack" format come into a market where there is already a "Jack"-type format under another name (i.e. "Mike", "Charlie", etc.), we could hear this:

"Someone came to town trying to pretend that they were Jack. Well, we're the real Jack.......(frequency), Jack FM!".

There's a little station in Celina, OH that bought the "You II" package from TM in 1977 and has run them continuously ever since. What's the point of having them on "Jack" (I heard them on the Vancouver version).<P ID="signature">______________
