Best radio line of the week!

Okay, I'm a little late getting this out here, but the best line of the week (month? year??) had to be the one spoken by Skip Caray last night during the abyssmal 8th inning of the Braves' broadcast as the Astros were mercilessly pounding the Braves (deja vu'???). Skip said "Well, the bases are loaded again and I wish I was, too!" LOL!

Classic!!

Was't it Skip Caray who (while still in his drinking days) used to say that his favorite part of every game was 'the bottom of the 5th'?

Has anyone seen Skip lately? He still sounds great, but doesn't look too good. I got to meet him briefly before a ball game earlier this summer...let's just say time and decisions are taking thier toll on ol' Skip. <P ID="signature">______________

Well, this doesn't have to do with radio, but it does have to do with good lines. You might have heard that Pat Kelly, who played for the Chicago White Sox and Baltimore Orioles, passed away a few days ago. Kelly was devoutly religious. When he was playing for Orioles manager Earl Weaver, Kelly once said, "You should walk with the Lord." Weaver responded, "I'd rather walk with the bases loaded."

This happened on Monday Night Football a while back. Frank Gifford was previewing the game that night and was talking about the Eagles and "their exciting new leader Randall Cunnigham one the finest young quarterblacks....uh....quaterbacks in the game today."<P ID="signature">______________

And just this Friday am on 680 they were talking college football and some of the problems with NCAA violations (I think) when one of the jocks (I'm not sure who; I seldom listen to 680) was talking about it being a big black eye on college sports, which then lead to a pretty humorous verbal sparring about whether he'd really just said a "huge black GUY". lol.......
No, Radio Adict (addict?).... I was listening on 96 Rock. Magic's signal fizzles just north of Union City.
