Best sounding/processed station in Boston FM radio?

Inspired by a thread on the NYC board about WCBS's supposed mediocre processing... what is your favorite station as far as audio processing goes here in Boston? What is your least favorite? What station would you enjoy more if they fixed their processing? My favorite station to listen to and that I think is best processed is WZLX.

Now that you mention it, I was in NYC today and WCBS did not sound as good as it should have

Locally I agree WZLX sounds great

As for WBZ AM, yes HD ruined a lot of stations sound, but since most car radios have crap where the AM section should be in the radio, would any AM be throwing money away trying to get it to sound good?

the AM tuner in my 2013 Toyota is pure garbage.

Then people south of Boston couldn't get Classical New England.

Not only south of Boston, also some points in and west of Boston. My mom (85 years old) is a lifelong classical listener, and she could no longer listen when WGBH stopped playing classical music because a hill behind her house in Newton blocks good reception of 99.5 WCRB from its Andover transmitter. 99.5 is just multipath distortion and static there even on quality receivers. She now listens to it on WGBH HD2 on the HD radios that I got for her.

For quality of sound
88.9 WERS
92.5 The River
92.9 WBOS
93.7 WEEI
96, well then again, sometimes their audio is too loud, especially during their local mixes
100.7 WZLX
Evolution 101.7
Country 102.5
Magic 106.7
and KISS 108

Thanks for the compliment on 92.5! Did that this spring. Replaced 26 year old composite STL with Moseley Starlink and some other upgrades. Getting that CP-803 multipath and distortion generator out of the chain was worth it alone.

Tweaked 88.9 a couple of years ago, don't know if anything has changed since then. Was never satisfied with the high end, but that was due to the processor in place.

88.9 - what processing ?

WERS sounds like their Omnia is in "bypass". No dynamic reduction as far as I can tell, they sound like my Bluetooth phone audio. Purists will love that. 92.5 does sound excellent lately processing - wise. 100.7 & 101.7 are excellent as well. The worst in the city is 96.9 - where I hear distortion and clipping.
