Best Sportstalk Host in Cincinnati?

What are everyone's thoughts on the best sportstalk host in Cincinnati? Lance Mcalister is good, but can be grating at times. Mo Egger is decent when he isn't talking about his love of funnel fries. Ken Broo does a nice job during the Sunday Morning sports talk.

Ken Broo, hands down. He knows the subject matter and his relaxed, easy going style is easy on the ears. Great voice, smooth delivery. A real pro.

I agree with keys2..the best talk show host is Ken Broo. I wish he could do more than Sunday morning sports. He shares his views and does great interviews and does a super job on the phones.

Plus Lance and Mo seem to either not be aware of or doesn't care about high school sports. Ken does and talks about it. I have only been around him a couple of times but he came across as a first class guy.

George Fogel does a nice job too.

it is sad that the consensus for the best sports talk show hosts are those whose primary job is that of TV sports anchors. I think Broo and Vogel are the best currently on radio. A lot of people think Furman is great but he tends to go into topics that I do not care about-your more minor, and I mean MINOR, sports.

Ken Broo is very good. Nice and relaxed for a Sunday morning. I could do without the rock music and his commentaries on it coming back from breaks.

Furman is best, he just needs a better station. Broo, a close second.

McAllister and his "and, and, and" crap is most annoying.

Mo just sounds like a college kid.

Furman would be if he ever actually did his show. Every time I tune in I hear some sidekick lackey who sounds like they are having an aneurysm.

Broo is obviously extremely professional and qualified but just a little too laid back for me but I do enjoys his show occasionally. Mo has greatly improved especially when dealing with bad or angry calls or someone with a differing opinion. I actually like most of his angles and typically find it a good, not great, listen. Contrary to some, I kind of like the Lindsay interludes they throw in from time to time. It adds an element of reality to it instead of tired schtick you hear on the normal sports shows around the country. I did not even know Furmon was on anywhere, what station and time slot? I have a love/hate with Lance. Sometimes the fake drama gets on my nerves and I have to change it but the majority of the time Lance puts on a highly listenable sports show. The Reds losing 2 of 3 to the Orioles is not that big of a deal but he will go a gigantic rant about how time is getting ready to end. I have to say I big time don't care for Chick, that little experiment needs to stop. He obviously knows a ton about football and other sports but that does not mean he should be on the radio as a host.

None of the above?

The choices aren't very good but I agree with the Ken Broo consensus. I do wish he'd ramp up the emotion a little, but on the other hand at least he's not on the ledge every night like Lance. And FYI Lance, there are a few people who care about the game of whiffle ball your kids played last night. They all live in your house and therefore don't wear meters. Look, I can appreciate the prep Lance does, but he makes for a better blogger than radio host if that makes any sense.

Furman is amazing when he finds a rhythm. As others have mentioned his cohost is bad, bad, bad, and too often his subject matter gets way off course into niche sports and random non-sense.

Mo doesn't even register in this discussion.

Thanks for a great question and for reading my opinions, which are my own and not gospel.

Broo is good on Sunday mornings. I like hearing the pukes into and out of songs. Missing Andy Mac and Trump w/Doug Kidd though.

Furman. Weekdays on 1160 AM, 7 - 9 AM.

You mean Se..Se..Se..Seg ma..ma..man? The man can't say a full sentence
without stammering. Drives me crazy, it it it does!

Alan Cutler? As in, Alan "It's a GREAT DAY to be a Bengals fan!!!!" Cutler?

It hasn't been a great day to be a Bengals fan since Paul Brown died.

Alan Cutler is now officially BACK doing the Bengals pre and post games.

I wouldn't say anyone is of much good locally, Broo is OK to listen to.

Furman is horrid. Lance Gose is horrid. Egger, it depends on what kind of mood he's in. Seg struggles, but he's likable so for some reason that bumps him up for me.

Even though the Bengals continued to disintegrate after Cutler was gone, the sole redeeming feature was that we did not have to listen to his "voice" on the radio.

Mike Brown is really a sadistic you know what for bringing this happy-clown back - isn't he?

I really hope that you guys are joking about Alan Cutler. I once heard him say that the Bengals were going to try a FG from the 55 yard line. What a jackass.

Nope, no joke. The Bungles brought Cutler back. Take it away, Kiese:
