WAVS should be WAVZ.
WCUM - Spanish Station in Bridgeport.
WDJZ - the daytime only multi-lingual station in Bridgeport.
WFIF - the daytime only religious station
WLIS 1420 in Old Saybrook
WQUN which is the Nostalgic Formatted station owned by Quinnipiac.
WSUB, which is the Spanish Sister to WQGN.
WWRX - Jammin 107.7, which is WBMW's sister station.
WXLM - NewsTalk 104.7, sister to WSUB/WQGN. (licensed to Montauk, but targets New London County)

I don't know if I have a best for Southern CT.

What I do have is most unique which I think would be WLIS 1420. (It's also simuled on 1150 in Middletown). Local Community Music & Talk Show in the mornign. Syndicated Talk 10AM-12Noon/1PM-5PM/7PM-5AM. Local 12PM News Show. Local Talk at 1230PM (repeats at 630PM). And a wide-variety of interesting music shows on the weekends including: Irish, Polka, Jewish, Blues (as in Elwood Blues), Reggae, Broadway Showtunes, Big Bands/Standards.

I surely have a worst station. WDAQ. This station sounds confusing. It sounds like a cross between KISS 95.7 and 96.5 TIC.

I like WKNL in New London. KOOL 101 an oldies station that is not scared to say "The O" Word.

Oh another one left off the list WREF 850. Sister to WLAD. I like the Scott Shannon True Oldies Format they run. :)

Jammin' 107.7 sounds a lot different than HOT 93.7 in Hartford or HOT 106.3 in Providence, but that's not necessarily a bad thing.

WMOS 102.3 The Wolf is certainly better than 98.7 The Sound WNLC.

Mine is WNTA (None Of The Above) :)

Don't forget for New Haven and west, you can throw in quite a few NYC stations, particularly Hot 97 and KTU. And of course WFAN, WCBS, WINS...
And what about all the Hartford stations? Most cover southern CT.

My most listened to lately is WCBS-AM, Hot 97, 'TIC-FM, The River-105.9, FM 104-1, Kiss 95.7, Hot 93.7, KTU.

My worst in southern CT is WPLR.

On another note, why does KC-101 play Ms. Jackson by Outkast 12 times a day, every day? That song was tolerable like 7 years ago.

Which of those programs on WLIS is the best, in your opinion?

The Best show on WLIS is The local morning show hosted by Bob Muscatell. Their local music show that airs 5PM-6PM is a close second. And The Best of The Valley Shore Fridays at 1230PM & 630PM is a close third. (Keep in mind where I live there's a local 1410 AM, so I'm actually listening on the Middletown station 1150 AM :p)

Diamond Joe we all know you think the 10AM-12PM syndicated host on WLIS is your favorite show on WLIS since you carry her on The Cockroach on Saturdays. :p

Is it cheating that the vast majority of the programming (local and syndicated) on WLIS comes out of the Middletown Studio? I don't know if they still do, but occasionally they run one HS Sports Game on The Middletown Station and a different one on WLIS.
