Best Way to Broadcast!

Some freinds of mine are starting up a new show and are trying to get other stations to broadcast it mon-friday whats the best way to get the audio to all these stations?? Internet,Satelite,Isdn??? Any ideas??

It really depends on how many stations and how far they are away. Generally speaking, it you are feeding just 1 or 2 stations, ISDN is a cheaper route @ about .25/min long distance. You can do the math on equip/toll charges, but by the time you hit 3-4 stations, the sat time + ISDN to get it to the uplink is cheaper. The sat time can be had for $95 - $110/hour.

110 per Hour sounds like alot specialy when this show wont be charging very much anyone have a website lind to a satelite that offers space?? how about if we decide to stream it whats the best way to do it?

still seems a bit to high for the ammount of stations the show will be broadcasting on how good is the satelite quality for a more musicaly inclined show? will it sound like were in the studio?

Depending on your upload bandwidth, you could stream using something as simple as Shoutcast or Window media encoder at a high quality, if only looking at 10 or less, you may want to look into the Barix Instreamer and Exstreamers. www.barix.com and you can get pretty good quality along with not having to worry about a computer for the stream. Just a few ideas

I looked into an Energy Onix IP based STL solution a couple of years ago. The station that I was doing work for went a different direction but you might look into something like that.

im thinking internet is the most unexpensive way to go but im kinda worried about the quality of the audio because the stations that are picking up the signal are all FM stations !

If the satellite feed is above your means...either your target number of stations is too low...or your capital is. Just the facts....JBI
