Best way to mount an antenna combiner

We are in the process of 'preassembling' a 2 - bay FM antenna for installation on our tower in a few days and had the following question. The antennas are Nicom BKG77s mounted on a mast atop a Rohn tower. Frequency is 107.1.

What is the best way to mount the antenna combiner on the mast? I would say the combiner is around 2.5 ft in length, maybe a little less. We've looked at using a couple of pipe vent antenna brackets, but unfortunately nobody local carries them. U-bolts and pipe clamps seem to be another logical choice. Nicom suggested using zip ties, but I really don't want to go that route; as strong as zip ties may be, I envision the possibility of them failing after a few years. :-\

Thanks in advance,

Matt

We have a NiCom 4 bay on a site and the power devider was a bit bigger than yours but if memory serves we used "round member adapters" basically just stainless steel hose clamps to mount ours.

Rohn has a bunch of accessory brackets available that should do the job. Check Tessco's catalog: www.tessco.com

I'd shop around on price. If you register, you be better pricing. Even if you decide not to use their solution, you might get enough of an idea to craft a DIY solution that is more cost-effective.

We've had UV-resistant cable-ties in use for 5+ years with no failures. Although we inspect everything every six months.
