Best Weekday Evening News/Talk Shows

I'm looking for ideas for weekday evening news/talk shows. The two time slots would be 6PM-9PM and 9PM-12AM CST. I would like to have a show that's live or that airs live during the evening. I'm looking for shows that are current, topical and relevant.

What do you feel like are some of the best weekday evening news/talk shows out there?

What shows would you recommend?

Thanks for your help!

Check out Joe Pags (syndicated by Compass Media) and Chad Benson (syndicated by Radio America). Both are live 6p-9p ET.

Levin is fine, but I assume you know about him already. And I know Premiere offers Buck Sexton, but I have never sampled his program.

Matt Ray, Angie Austin, Doug Stephan or Daybreak USA should all be available on a barter basis for the morning drive.

PT gave you good choices for 6-9PM. You're limited if you want live. Not knowing the market you're considering this for, you might want to consider carrying Laura Ingraham on a delay basis. Jay Sekulow has a daily show, but it would have to be delayed as well as would Clark Howard.

Buck Sexton is excellent. He knows his stuff and presents it in a way that's calm but not boring, can be humorous but not silly. Several stations around the country carry his show delayed from 9-midnight. I highly recommend it.
