Exactly. Now, though we do have VT and satellite at FLRG stations, we put different content on the air. Play more lesser known songs, more variety... DO I wish it was 100% live? Yes. I believe most stations should be except for MAYBE a non local morning show, In The Studio with Redbeard, American Top 40 new or old ones, etc...

But, I don't control that and Alan and the PD's do a remarkable job at FLRG with what they do. I just try to do what I can with what airtime they give me to make it a better station. And my show is not VT. Now, my countdown will be prerecorded yes, but thats a necessity for the type of show it is. Plus thats what they want. I'd consider doing it live...
 
Many, if not all, of the "bullies on this board" are in reality veterans of some of the best radio made anywhere. Sure it's fun to watch SirRox, BigA and 9 jab back-and-forth but they bring some real sound insights.

What does one have to do get on this select list of bullies ? Did I miss the campaign offering the 27 CD set of the "Stiffs That Keep Coming" with a pledge of $XXX ? Or do ya just have to "know somebody"? :D

What I want to know is how is it that Beth Adams gets fired but that loud mouth Kimberly from the "Breakfast Buzz" hasn't?

I'm assuming you meant "isn't".....which I guess I have to agree. Still doesn't make it right.
Tell you what, Kimberly is NOT a popular person....at all. Not well liked in the radio community and out of it.
 
I don't often find intelligent insights on here.. I find a bunch of people who look up 12+ ratings on arbitron.com and then try to use that data to sound like they're "in the know"..

You all sound bitter.
 
I can't imaging why anybody who's been in radio long enough to call it a "career" - i.e. 20 years or more - would be "bitter" over what's happened in the industry. But thanks for your "intelligent" observation.

BTW, people comment on 12+ because that's what's publicly available. Many people here have access to demos, but those numbers cannot be revealed here under the terms of service for both Arbitron and Radio-info.com. Most of the guys here know how much 12+ numbers really mean, and generally reference that in their posts.
