Beth Bradley

John Saville mentioned at the end of the WDRC-FM morning show today that Beth Bradley, who's been MIA for a couple of weeks, is fighting some medical issues. He didn't give any details, out of respect for the family, but told his listeners to "save a few prayers for Beth." Sounds serious; hope she's going to be OK.

I wish her a speedy recovery. - I actually met Beth Bradley while I was working at Shaw's Supermarket in Bristol several years ago. DRC-FM was there collecting turkeys, etc. for the less fortuante for Thanksgiving.

Just curious who's this MaryAnn O'Hare that's filling in for her? I've never heard of her before. She seems to be doing a good job, better than other fill-ins I've heard on various stations.

I too have met Beth at a few remotes, but then again.. so have most listeners.

Here's wishing Beth a speedy recovery to whatever ails her. Our prayers are with you, Beth.

Beth has been a consistent presence on a changeable morning show for about ten years. She always does a great job with news content and presentation, and was a pleasure to work with. Let's hope she's back before long!

Maryanne Ohare has been around Connecticut radio for a long time. I believe she did mornings at PLR with the old Smith and Barber, or at HCN with Mike Picozzi and Gary Lee Horn

This morning John Saville saud that if listeners wish to send cards or letters to Beth, they may do so c/o the station: The address is:

102.9 DRC-FM
869 Blue Hills Avenue
Bloomfield, CT 06002

Anybody hear anything about Beth? I haven't been listening since I'm in the middle of moving so I've missed any updates on her condition.

My mother(who is a two time cancer survivor) and i were talking about beth a few days ago.. I hate to secpulate, buit we both believe it is some form of cancer.

My prayers are with beth, her family and friends..

A week or so ago, John and MaryAnn were talking about Beth toward the end of the morning show and mentioned how she was "making giant strides." That sounds more like what might be said of a stroke victim. (A sister and an uncle of mine both suffered strokes, so I know that phrase all too well.)

Like many of you, I've encountered Beth at various DRC-FM remotes over the years, and she's always been more than willing to chat and joke with listeners. I'm pulling for her recovery, too.

It has been rather nebulous as far as diseminated info about what actually happened to Beth Bradley. Why all the secrecy?

A good friend told me that he heard John Saville this morning, suggest that Beth's ailment is that of a coronary nature and remains very serious. Please, let us all keep Beth in our prayers. Thanks!!

Obviously it was out of respect for Beth and her family...when Beth decided it was time to let everyone know, they were able to clue in the audience...I applaud the station (and all of their employees who have known about this for two months) that they kept their co-worker's condition quiet to protect her privacy.
