A tip of the fez to Beth for handling this brouhaha with a lot of class and professionalism! She goes her way and they can find an emcee who shares their beliefs....or won't tell if they ask ;)

Later this year, you'll have to pay for content from McAZCentral as Gannett is trying to raise revenues by $100m from freeloaders like the Nurse and Me. http://www.bizjournals.com/phoenix/news/2012/02/22/gannett-to-charge-for-content-on.html Good Luck, guys... but you aint the only source for McNews anymore. Just look what that uppity New Times did to you with the Babeu story ;D ;D ;D

Shocking that they haven't reported it yet! ;)

Also, this story about Beth has led to 15 pages of comments so far over there...YIKES!!! I don't care to read any of it, but talk about hot-button!
They're almost at "Day in the Life of a Lamptimer" status! :D

You get what you pay for, and AZCentral is worth exactly what we pay for it. The Chicago Sun-Times - once a great newspaper, but now total crap - did this a couple of months ago. Same goes for the Repulsive. If we want local news on the web, Channels 3, 5, 10, and 15 offer better content than what's left of our local bird-cage-liner (and I consider Channel 12 to be visual fishwrap as well). I can see Gannett filing bankruptcy in the next year or so.

No surprise about the tremendous response. There's a lot of flame throwing going on, so the Nurse and I'll stay out of it as we got plenty to do around the Media Hut. Just gotta say that Beth couldn't have handled it better.

I'm not a radio listener of Beth but see her frequently on KSAZ's morning show where she banters with Rick (especially) about her beliefs. I get the impression she considers herself a Catholic but doesn't necessarily follow strict doctrine where it diverges from her own beliefs.

Just my impression. YMMV
