Bethesda sells NE Wisc./Upper Mich. stations to EMF

Bethesda Christian Broadcasting is selling its outlets in northeastern Wisconsin and Upper Michigan to EMF, for $825,000--but is apparently holding on to its other stations. The specific stations being sold are WPFF and WNLI--two full-power FMs in Sturgeon Bay (Door County/Peninsula)--along with their related translators, which are mostly in the UP.

Air 1 currently has no on-air presence in the region--while the nearest existing K-Love stations (full-power and translators) are in Ironwood, New London, Fond du Lac, and Milwaukee.

See more at both http://www.northpine.com (currently, the top item) and http://www.allaccess.com/net-news/archive/story/123588/emf-buys-wpff-wnli.

WNLI used to be Christian Rock as "WRGX" years ago under a previous owner before Bethesda bought the station (Bethesda flipped from Southern Gospel to INSPO) .. Will be great for that area to have something a little more uptempo than WPFF (Which runs along the same lines as KLove musically).

I am guessing WPFF will segue to "KLove" and WNLI will segue to Air1 after the sale completes and the MSW's are approved by the FCC.
