Betty White Dead at 99

I don't think any of the obituaries mentions she hosted a prank show where the pranksters were elderly. It was on NBC to begin with and the theme song was "We're Not Gonna Take It" by Twisted Sister.
I remember that short-lived show. Not a lot of mention of her time as a game show panelist nor her husband Allen Ludden. Seemingly she went from a sitcom in 1854 to The Golden Girls, then the Snickers commercial, SNL to Hot In Cleveland.

She wasn't that old. :D

Turns out Betty White's earliest TV shows was on KLAC-TV/KCOP-TV Los Angeles.

The half-hour episode series was executive produced by her late husband, Allen Ludden.

Born Jan. 17, 1922, in Oak Park, Ill., just outside Chicago, Betty Marion White moved with her family to Southern California as a child and graduated from Beverly Hills High School. She bypassed college to pursue a career in radio and went to television in the 1950s, co-hosting “The Al Jarvis Show,” a 5 1/2-hour live daily program on what is now KCOP-TV Channel 13.

I‘m late with this one. She was amazing and gave me thousands of hours of laughter and entertainment. RIP She is in a better place and made it through the Golden Gates. I’ll bet she’s enjoying cheese cake with Bea, Rue, Estelle, Mary, and all the others. Thank you for being a TV-friend, Betty!

NBC has announced that there will be a Betty White Special on January 31st and will also be on NBC owned app Peacock the next day.
That was a nice special. It didn't go into a lot of detail about any of her 50s TV series other than "Life with Elizabeth". And I'm not sure it was made clear she married Allen Ludden. The PBS documentary had more about both.

I didn't think the jokes from "Golden Girls" were the best ones they could have done.
