BETTY WHITE SPECIAL ALMOST WINS MONDAY NIGHT FOR NBC

The only thing I noticed about Monday night TV was how pitiful "2 1/2" has become. Middle school rest room humor (if you could call it humor). An outstanding ensemble reduced to one part-time and not funny sketch. The "pathetic" Alan getting the majority of his camera time (as opposed to the "funny" Alan who used to carry the show). Jake and Doofuss sitting on the couch cracking unfunny jokes about smoking drugs (like our kids need MORE examples?). And the always disconnected and disjoint Aston Kutcher who sucks humor out of the show like a Dyson vacuum.

What a pathetic waste.

Whatever the rift was between Carol Burnett and Vicki Lawrence, it was nice to see them arm-in-arm when everyone got up on stage at the end of the Betty White special.

Your opinion, of course, but I'm still enjoying it. It's not what it was.

The Betty White special was great. I was never a fan of Sue Ann but most of what she did was good. The "Mary Tyler Moore" clips were great. The "Golden Girls" clips were excellent (I forget just how great Bea Arthur was), but where was Sophia?

In my opinion, curtains for 2 1/2 Men. Alan is the only safety net this show has. Jake gets rarely any time on set (and used to be a lot more during the first two or three seasons), and Ashton Kutcher is a stupid actor, VERY rarely something to chuckle about, otherwise, blah.
