Well being a huge fan of Elizabeth Montgomery, you all must know what I think...
LOL...
But seriously, Elizabeth's ACTING and her attitude is what made
Bewitched charming. It wasn't a show about a witch. It was a story about a woman with a different background dealing with so called "normal" situations.
In many ways it was an allegory for race relations, gay rights or any other minority group.
I loved it when Darrin is explaining something to Endorra and she responds "What to you is normal it to us ASSININE." It works on SO MANY levels
Or Samantha getting mad at her relatives. She says she tries to see both side and she says "Sometimes you can try to be everything to everyone that you wind up being NOTHING."
And the real message Samantha hits home, when Darrin's friends wife takes the fur coat Samantha "Zapped up." The wife of the friend want to pay for the coat. Samantha says no. And the wife says "You can't give something away so valuable?"
Samantha looks at Darrin and says "Yes you can, especially if you have something even MORE valubable waiting for you."
The incredible acting and input by Elizabeth Montgomery made unbelielvable premise actually plausable. Plus you knew Agnes Moorehead seemed to be having a hoot playing Endorra.<P ID="signature">______________
