Bewitched Marathon

Today, WTXX-TV 20 at 4:30 is having a marathon of Bewitched in preparation for the big screen version of the TV show coming later this month. Would seem appropriate as the show was set in Westport.

WPHL in Philadelphia is also doing this. Is this something all Tribune stations are doing? (Or is it perhaps network-wide on the WB?) Or is it a station by station thing?

LOL.... Now that's a Good One! I just recently learned that the show was set in Westport. I had always thought it was Set in California. You've got to check out this site. There are a ton of pictures that someone took of the original Bewitched Set. Looking through this site felt like I broke into the Stevens home. Very Very Cool!

As I understand it the working title for the show was
The Witch of Westport

So, it sounds like all of the Tribune owned stations (with the exception of WTIC-TV, the Hartford FOX affiliate) ran this marathon. Weird.

Not at all weird, since Tribune routinely makes "group buys" for programming that run on all or almost all of their stations. For example, "Sex and the City" will be running in pretty much all of the Tribune markets this fall.

But if you look at the schedules of Tribune-owned WB affiliates across the country, you will see that there are many, many programs that run on most (or all) of their stations.
