Bewitched now on KCOP weekday afternoons

I just stumbled upon KCOP this afternoon airing Bewitched. Just checked the KCOP website schedule and they are airing it from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. weekday afternoons.

I don't know how long it's been airing in the slot, but I am surprised they picked up an old show.

They've been carrying Bewitched since the fall; the show was actually part of the station's lineup for number of years until the mid-to-late 90s. Before KCOP re-acquired the rights, the show was seen locally on KCAL, and then sporadically on KTLA.

And now its off the weekday schedule. The Jeremy Kyle Show moves to KCOP at 12noon and I Love Lucy moves to 1pm-3pm. KCOP weekend schedule is not available yet on my cable guide. Im sure Bewitched will be back for the summer or next fall maybe? Honestly KCOP has room for the show. Who wants to watch a informerical about P90X 20 times? KTTV airs TMZ Live at 3pm so Jeremy gets booted to KCOP. KCOP hasnt had a talkshow on air in a few years. The last ones were Montel and Wendy Williams repeats.

You beat to the punch, albeit by a few days, but yeah, they could have got rid of an hour of Lucy to keep Bewitched on the schedule. The new TMZ Live on 11 is a test run, at least through May or so, so it'll be likely that they move Jeremy Kyle back to 11, and reinstate Bewitched back in its 1pm slot on 13.

Just out of curiosity, was KCOP-TV's recent run of Bewitched on "35mm film-to-tape"
(as on WGN-TV), or were they running horrid old 16mm film prints?

I recall years ago that KCOP was considered the doormat of El Lay stations.

Of the major players it still is but KDOC (out of Orange County) decided to grow up and take much of the loose reigns of doormatcy.
KCOP is an empty shell of what it once was now under the umbrella with Fox O&O KTTV.

Definitely 35mm from videotape, pretty good quality as well.

Does KCOP or any station still use 16mm telecine?

RTV runs Ozzie & Harriet from crummy 16mm prints, chopped up at the beginning
and at the end (I'm sure it's to remove original sponsorships).

Apparently these are "public domain" episodes of Oz. I've read where one of the
Nelsons third generation is spearheading an attempt to get all 435(?) episodes
remastered from the 35mm film masters to digital.

There are a number of Oz episodes on YouTube. While they seem to be 16mm, they
also seem to be more intact (with the original sponsors). These may have been the
prints sent out by ABC to "non-interconnected" stations during the original run.
